Wilson Medical Rehabilitation Center Sees Climb for Those in Need This Holiday Season
Wilson Medical Rehabilitation Center recently launched its annual holiday event, formally known as the Adopt-A-Child Program. The program has been renamed as the Winter Gift-Giving Event. The community service project provides at least one Christmas gift to every eligible child in need. So far, more than 100 children's names have been added to the angel tree. If you would support a child, stop by Wilson Medical Rehabilitation Center, located at 604 Main, to select a gift tag from the angel tree. Each tag includes the child’s age, gender, clothing sizes, shoe size and of course a few Christmas wishes.
New this year, the Rehab Center is also seeking donations to give to senior residents at local skilled and assisted living facilities. Donation items such as lotions, shampoo, conditioner, puzzles, socks, and snacks are among the most needed items for senior residents. Community members can drop off donations between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, at the Rehab Center.
Unwrapped gifts and donations should be returned to the Rehab Center by Friday, December 8. If you have any questions, please call the Wilson Medical Rehabilitation Center at 620-325-2253.
