(Neodesha, Kansas - January 16, 2024) - Wilson Medical Center celebrated the arrival of a new addition to the community on Tuesday, January 16, with the birth of baby Aria Suzanne Preset.
When the expectant mother Sarah Preset was unable to reach her intended delivery facility, she rushed to Wilson Medical Center for an emergency delivery. Dr. Miranda McKellar led the delivery with the help of a full team of ER and clinical crew.
According to Dr. McKellar, "I didn't have some of the equipment I would usually have to deliver a baby, but thankfully, we do have some emergency kits that we keep on hand for deliveries like this. And we had a great team of people to help, too."
The hospital staff was thrilled about the news of the birth. For the first time in many years, the “Brahms Lullaby” played on the overhead speakers, noting the very special occasion. Excitingly, baby Aria is the first baby born in 2024 in Wilson County. Both Sarah and the baby are reportedly happy and healthy.
